Alison Basson here. I need to ask you a favour

We are very close to finishing our long-awaited VIP area on Business Women Unite. But before we do, I want to make sure we are on the right track so that YOU have everything you need. So I have this one question to ask you…

What do you feel are the 2 most important things you need to know right now to grow your business?

I really want to know; the more you can tell me the more I can create what you need…please leave your answer below.

That’s all for now…

Thanks,

Alison

P.S – Please let me know I really DO value your feedback - what do you feel are the 2 most important things you need to know right now to grow your business? What do you need help with? Just post your comment below.

    Hi Alison
I’m new to BWU and very much enjoying it. For me, the two things that are most important are:

    1. Being able to cost-effectively identify a strategy for regular and consistent lead generation for my coaching business (traditional approaches take too much time and money for Ms Impatient here…) and…

    2. Finding a top-notch business coach (with a spiritual perspective) who can see through my BS and call me on it when I’m not being the best I can be.

    cheers

    Hi Alison
I am new to BWU as well and really look forward to a day very soon where I can sit and read alot of the posts. Its wedding season so I am a tad busy at the moment (which is great btw)
I think the two most important things for me to grow my business would be
    1. Learn how to market effectively and creatively. I am always offering promotions etc but I feel I need a niche marketing idea.
    2. I agree with Lisa Murray when she says about a business coach. I need a mentor or coach that I can bounce ideas off.

    I hope this helps you
    Thanks
    Lisa

    Hi Alison

The two things I really need to know right now is how to develop a cost-effective marketing plan and a cost effective program to send out e-zines / newsletters to clients.

I need a list of great people who do website design etc - who I can trust!, and won’t muck me around - just to take my money - ouch!

I need someone to sit down with - tell them my vision for my bunsiness - and for them to set it up for me - I need good tech help!

    Thank you

    Hi Alison

The two most frustrating things I would like to know more about is

1/ Where to advertise? Everyone promises the world and little is delivered.

2/ How to convert website clicks into sales? It is disturbing to see so many “clicks” not converted into sales

    Regards

    Deborah

2 most important things I need right now is
    1) how to do a good projection sheet for my business plan.
    2) if its better to go for the big plan for investors or a start up plan with lower financial needs ?
I have a wonderful product which we are now working on patent and we are trying to put together business plan for investors. We know this product as the capability to go world wide. But is it best to start a business when working with investors to ask for smaller amount while growing and to ask for more later??
    confused..
    thanks

    Hi Alison
I guess we are all the same and have strenghts in differant area’s. My frustration has been compiling the content for my website I have spent countless hours…days!!! trying to get the words right. almost there. That would be my first challange, and I am sure my second challenge would be getting my website out there and optimising it without mortgaging my house.

Funny thing about being in business for yourself (and I have been for 25years) it actually finding the time to focus on income producing activities. I am sure that many of you feel that way and we grow more and more with each passing challenge. Have a great day and remember girls “The better you look on the outside the better you feel on the inside”

the last one year about but still not ready. So something
along this lines as well How to create blogs etc etc.

    Hi Allison,

My biggest challenges at the moment are educating our potential clients to the benefits of our services and why support in administration is actually an essential part of growing their businesses. The say of work on your business not in your business is one that small business seem to know but are not willing to pay to have that support.

The other challenge is to convert more the enquiries to clients. I am just not sure what is happening there.

I look forward to learning more from the other people and businesses on this site.

    Sarah
