Hello Everyone, I hope you have had a wonderful start to the year.
I am writing to you today to ask if you might help others have a great 2010 as well. If you have a facebook account you might have heard of Chase Community Giving Programmes. They are giving away 1 Million to a worthy charity and they are asking us to vote for whom you think deserves it the most.
I am asking you all to visit the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation
http://gwendolynstrongfoundation.org/
and follow the big blue hand and cast your vote to CURE SMA.
SMA or Spinal Muscular Atrophy is a genetic disease that is a life sentence for those babies born with type 1. Their muscles eventually cease to function and most die before their 2nd birthday. I myself have Type 3, a much milder form of the disease but one which is still challenging and difficult to live with.
SMA is a cureable disease. At the moment there is no cure but neurologists and foundations around the world have hit on severals interesting developments. They are in need of money to continue their final research.
I realise there is a lot of need out there, especially at the moment as we watch the pictures coming in from Haiti, but can I ask you to visit the site and cast your vote. It is free and you might be savings thousands of babies.
Thanks for reading:)
